Former chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon. Alfa Nma has received the flag of the Labour Party (LP) as the new LP chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). This followed his defection to the party.
At a ceremony at the Labour House, the National Headquarters of the party in Garki area of the FCT, the FCT Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Chukwuemeka, presented the symbol of authority to Hon. Nma amid cheers from party members at the weekend.
The new AMAC chairman of Labour Party vowed to lead the party to victory in the council, insisting that the party will wrestle power from the ruling APC in the FCT Area Council sweep the counsellorship seats the twelve AMAC political wards.
The state chairman, while formerly presenting the party flag to Hon. Alfa Nma, noted that he has full confidence in the ability of the new AMAC chairman to deliver on the task ahead.
