By the assessment of football operations and Communications Consultant, lan MCGarry on the latest episode of transfer window podcast, Real Madrid will wipe the slate clean if Mauricio Pochettino joins as their new manager.

He believes Pochettino is the man Real want as Julen Lopetegui’s replacement following the Spainard’s sacking last week in the wake of the humiliating 5-1 hammering at rivals Barcelona in El Clasic, while captain Ramos and left back Marcelo will be edged out to herald a new era at the Bernabeu.

Speaking at a show last week, MCGarry said. “I would say Real Madrid and Florentino Perez’s point of view, their plan ‘A’ is definitely seeing the season out with a manager who can effectively caretake till May next year on the basis they will then be able to mount a proper engagement of Mauricio Pochettino.
