According to him in a statement, “President Muhammadu Buhari has not only demonstrated his capacity as the most democratic Nigerian but has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that credible democracy has returned to the Country.

“I also congratulate Nigerians especially the Nigerian youth over the signing of the Not Too Young To Run Bill into law by President Muhammadu Buhari which has grossly encouraged my aspiration to govern Benue State as governor in the 2019 gubernatorial elections.

“Today, our hope is rekindled that Party Primaries and indeed the general elections shall be free and fair with the signing into law the independence of the Judiciary by grant it financial autonomy along side State Assemblies in Nigeria.

“I am now very sure that with the ongoing tremendous support being received by Benue people across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State, the incumbent shall by no means bypass primary elections, for the powers of incumbency has been deflated by the posture and actions of President Muhammadu Buhari, the champion of Africa Democracy.

“I urge Benue people to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC as the end of our suffering is near.

“I am very optimistic that, June 12, 2019 shall mark a regime change in Benue from lamentations to celebrations through our collective effort.

“The greatness of Benue is in our hands, hence we must make the right choices both at the Party Primaries and the general elections.

“Once again, I congratulate Nigerians, Happy Democracy Day Celebrations”, he stated.
