In line with Governor Okowa’s prosperity creed  for all Deltans, coupled with his unflinching commitment to transform Delta State, the Deputy Speaker,  Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday, Favour  Ossai Osanebi has called on opinion leaders, elders and statesmen  to come together, harness their strength and to enhance progress in tandem in order to guarantee a steady and impactful delivery of the SMART cum prosperity mantra of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led administration.

The Deputy Speaker, in continuation of his routine visitations to opinion leaders,  elders/statesmen, cultural and social groups within and across Ndokwa land, today paid an unscheduled visit to Chief Chuks Ochonogor, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of  Novena University,  Ogume, Ndokwa West local Government area.

Osanebi who harped on unity of purpose, noted that the support and prayers of opinion leaders and elders in Delta State is very crucial and paramount to the overall success of the Okowa’s administration.

“To you sir, it’s a surprise visit, but to me and my entourage, it’s a visit long overdue. I have sincerely wished to come and appreciate you for your immerse contribution to the success of the government of Delta State.

“Therefore, I have come to say thank you, for your support and prayers for us all and especially the governor, even as I appeal to you and all other opinion and political leaders to keep on praying and support the government “. The Deputy Speaker, in an heartfelt thanks.

He further noted that the pro- chancellor and economist has made tremendous contribution to the empowerment and transformation of Deltans and beyond through his huge investment in the education sector.

“Education remains one of the viable tools to enhance the  total transformation of the human person. Your huge investment in this regard sir, is always applauded.

“Today, the Novena chain of schools has effected a forceful educational turn around in the overall development of our people. I thank you for your contribution to re-orientation and development of minds through your schools”, he noted.

Earlier in his welcome address, Chief  Ochonogor who was filled with  joy received the Deputy Speaker and his entourage and thanked the Deputy Speaker for his immerse contribution to the development of Delta State.

“I am happy to receive you this morning in my house. You have demonstrated  respect   and love for your people once more”, he said.
