Despite promises made that Boko Haram insurgency would be brought to a halt by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Islamic sect have continued to kill innocent citizens.

Two hijab-wearing suicide bombers snuck their way into crowded Maiduguri fish market and waited upon unsuspecting traders where said had converged for prayers before detonating
themselves.

The incident claimed no fewer than 30 lives, witnesses said, even as hospital sources said many others were injured.

“The first girl waited for the traders to commence prayers before she crept upon them and detonated the bomb, killing a large number of persons and injuring many.

“Some of our fellow traders said they saw the young girl wandering about shortly before the prayers,” a witness said.

“We all heard the second explosion coming less than five minutes after the first blast.”, the witness.
