The Bishop of Nsukka Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Alloysius Eze Agbo (JP), has collated seven Archdeacons and installed two Canons of the Cathedral, among them, is Rev. Can. Christian Ike Nnadi, the Priest-in-Charge of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Iheakpu-Awka.
The Collation of the Archdeacons as well as collation and installation of Canons was witnessed by different arms of the Church such as Knights and Ladies of Saint Paul alongside the entire congregation, friends and well wishers of the Priests at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Nsukka at the weekend, was part of the activities of the Diocese in 2019.
Collating Dr. Nnadi as an Archdeacon by Bishop Agbo, Ven. Dr. John Adubasim from Port Harcourt in a sermon, reminded the Priests that “when you do the work of God, He will definitely reward you”, praying, “May God cause fire to fall in your hearts. May God cause passion to fall in your hearts.”
Dr. Adubasim lamented that many are dying without Christ, charging them to do something in what he referred to as “spiritual emergency”.
He noted that the Ministry of a Priest is that of an intercession.
John Adubasim also prayed God to use them as instruments to serve both the dead and the living, urging them to make themselves available as instruments in the hands of God.
Dr. Christian Ike Nnadi who was overwhelmed by the collation responded by praying God to bless everybody.
Those who were collated included Venerables Kingsley Obeta, Kenneth Onah, Williams Okoro, Edwin Agbo, Sunday Dike and Solomon Onyeke.
Others collated and installed were Conons Benjamin Abia and Takuso Eze.
