Court Acquits, discharges Ladoja, Aide of N4.7bn Fraud

A federal Court, Lagos, today, acquitted and discharged the former governor tof Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja and his commissioner of Finance, Waheed Akanbi of N4.7 billion fraud leveled against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

 
Justice Mohammed Idris, while discharging the two men said prosecution failed to establish the 11 counts charge against them beyond reasonable doubt.
 
The judge Al’s said the evidence given by the prosecution witnesses were inconsistency and same were too low to establish the alleged offences against them.
 
The judge therefore acquits and discharges them of 11 counts charges
