Prophet Omoto Fufeyin Supports Ethiope East LG Fire’s Victims With N4.5m

The General Overseer, Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Warri, Delta State, also called Mercy City alias ‘The Arena of Solution and Power’, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, has expressed his  unconditional love to families of the Eku fire disaster victims, in Ethiope East Local Government, Delta State, through his Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin Foundation (JOFF), as he supported them with N4.5 million.

Prophet Omoto-Fufeyin through his publicist, Theresa Moses, in an email to today, was quoted saying ‘Giving they say is an act of righteousness, that comes from our duty as humans to help each other as giving is a strong demonstration of love towards others’.

       Moses stated that as the Man of God heard of the incident “he was moved to tears and sent for the families of the victims and those affected in the inferno”.
            She also stated that Prophet Omoto Fufeyin admonished victims to ake heart and always give thanks to God in all situations as He knows best.

           Prophet Omoto-Fufeyin also called Owomowomo 1, it was gathered gave the family of the deceased N3 million with a Bible, while the one in the hospital was given N1. 5 million with a Bible.
         The disaster hit a home in Eku community in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, after a fire outbreak left which left two people dead and one battling for survival at the Eku Baptist Government Hospital.
          The incident which occurred on Saturday, June 22, gutted two buildings and several stores, destroying properties worth over N50 million.
        It was learnt that the fire broke out from the apartment housing the deceased woman, identified as Caroline Ugor, who was said to be trading in kerosene, while her only child is battling for life as she sustained severe fire burns during the incident.

         It was gathered that the deceased, dealt in kerosene and the product mixed with petrol which was unknown to her.
           It was further learnt that on early of the incident, one of the deceased friends came to seek her help while she was preparing for the market, which happened to be the Eku Market Day, while they were  discussing, she noticed that one of the kegs filled with kerosene in her store was leaking and she immediately called her daughter to bring nylon to block the leakage but the child while coming with the nylon, brought a lantern, which resulted in the inferno.

According to sources “everything in one of the buildings was destroyed before help could come. Several persons were injured. Sister Caroline was trapped in the fire and was burnt to death in the process. Her only child is also battling for life in hospital”.
